One person whose affair with Romania is almost as long as my own is Paul Wood, an English gentleman and the owner of a head-hunting company in Bucharest. He is proof that the art of good dinner conversation is not yet, quite and completely dead! I agree with most of what he wrote on reasons he loves this country and I thought you might want to read for a better insight into how this country ticks and how you can enjoy it best. Briefly, this country is an adventure. If you like predictability and the comforts of stasis then probably not a good fit.
